Ayurvedic Benefits of Pear Fruit

Pears were lauded in ancient India and China as a symbol of immortality. They are known in Sanskrit as Amrita Phalam, the fruit of immortality or nectar fruit. In Roman mythology, they were considered sacred to Pomona, the goddess of fertile abundance and orchards, Venus, the goddess of love, and Juno, the mother. Pears are soothing to all three doshas and are sweet and light. The Sanskrit term Susvada, which also means “very tasty” and “prosperity and welfare,” is used to describe them.

Yash Birla promotes the wonders and healing benefits of Ayurveda. As Ayurveda suggests eating seasonal fruits, Yash Birla advises everyone to make the most out of this fruit this rainy season.

Greek poet Homer refers to the pear as a “gift of God.” For their positive effects on human health, pears are known as Bagu Gosha in Hindi and Amritphale in Sanskrit. Pears may aid in urinary tract infection management, skin whitening, immune strengthening, and wound healing.

Ayurvedic Concept of Food and Nutrition

In Ayurvedic living, nutrition is crucial. As a route to a healthy life, health, and wellness, Ayurveda focuses particular stress on “Ahara” (diet) and “Anna” (food). The mind, body, and soul are all fed by good, healthy food. The quality and proper quantity of food are essential for a healthy existence, according to Ayurveda, even though each person’s digestive ability may differ. Food when consumed in the right amount, gives us energy, and strengthens our tissues.

The one thing that Yash Birla has always promoted is the abundant benefits of Ayurveda. He follows the principles of Ayurveda in every step of his life.

Contrary to western conceptions of nutrition and the US Dietary Guidelines, Ayurveda advises that a diet can be either vegetarian (plant-based) or non-vegetarian (animal-based). The portion sizes should be tailored to each person’s needs, body constitution (dosha), and Agnibal (digestive power). Food qualities and characteristics including how heavy, light, and oily it is should also be taken into account.

What is Pitta Dosha?

Ayurveda is an age-old way of living that has been continuing for many centuries. Ayurvedic medicine is based on the idea that the world is made up of five elements — Aakash (space), Jala (water), Prithvi (earth), Teja (fire), and Vayu (air). A combination of each element results in three doshas, known as VataKapha, and Pitta. These doshas are believed to be responsible for a person’s physiological, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Yash Birla like many other Ayurvedic practitioners believes that every person is said to have a unique ratio of each dosha, usually with one standing out more than the others. For example, a person may be mostly pitta while another may be mostly Vata. A person’s unique ratio of Vata, Kapha, and pitta is said to define their Ayurvedic constitution. Pitta controls heat, metabolism and transformation in the mind and body.

Business Insights from CEO Ashish Thakur (Birla Ayurveda)

1. How do you define customer experience from your brand’s perspective?

We as a brand believe in serving the customers with entire efficiency and loyalty. Our brand has a customer experience that is completely based on quality services and consumer satisfaction.

2. Keeping COVID in mind, did you all have to reorient your plans of expansion or had to focus more on online to stay connected to the customer? How did you manage your retail footprint in these testing times?

Yes, we had to reorient our plans of expansion to stay connected to our customers. Not only did we have to re-strategize our marketing plans but also think of new ideas to reach the targeted audience. We had to shut down all our retail shops during the sudden imposition of the lockdown at the outbreak of covid-19. In a short period, we shifted our business entirely to a digital medium. Then once again, we were finally visible to our trusted customers and some new ones. We have begun with online services like having a doctor’s consultation. We provide medicine prescriptions too. We also provide home therapy by therapists who are doubly vaccinated and wear PPE kits and take all the necessary steps for covid prevention.

We had to change our plans and things were not going as planned. We only focused on online services which we could give to our customers. That is how we tried to stick to our retail footprints.
